[P3 - RED BULL - Part 3] The Letter - Letter & Focused Feature

The Letter
My letter to Red Bull. I used the design of the Red Bull can as my background but I purposely placed a red line through the middle of the two colours to show the separation between the company because of its hidden agendas.

Focused Feature
Here I have focused on one paragraph that discusses the fact that Red Bull should stay true to their identity. I used the Red Bull liquid as a 'high-lighter' effect.

[P3 - RED BULL - Part 2] The Poster - Poster & In Situ

Poster
The poster depicts the company's hidden truths, the hand excessively crunches the can which gives the viewer the understanding that the individual is angry & frustrated at the company and wants it to tell the truth. "I swear I'm not lying!" is said by the Red Bull can, or more literally, the company and won't reveal the truths. Tui with its own slogan "yeah right" is replying to the Red Bull company because Tui (more generally, alcohol) know's that Red Bull is lying/deceiving. The big black shadow on the Red Bull can represents that if they don't fix their wrongs the shadow will keep getting bigger and they will soon enough lose their 'self-respect' forever.

Poster In Situ
The reason I took the photo outside a liquor store was to show that a majority of people are noticing it's harmful effects towards the body and also the company's lies and implications. To also show that Red Bull desperately needs to change/be true or else they may have it banned in further countries + its chemicals do more harm than they show.

[P3 - RED BULL - Part 2] The Poster - Precendents

I chose two precedents from the Typographic Posters website because they both closely relate wherein they both show tension.

I also got the Tui idea from their famous advertisements, I chose to incorporate the Tui Ad into my poster because in my letter I discuss a bit about alcohol.

[P3 - RED BULL - Part 1] The Word

Placing of 'Thread' - The word is placed on the back of the model to show that the slogan "Red Bull Gives You Wings" is false and doesn't exist - Slogan taken literally in this case.

The Models Stance/Pose - The way she is clutching onto herself is to show that she feels violated by the company; she is left bare to further express the companies it's misleading nature and misdemeanour's - slogan taken in a more detailed way.

Hue, Saturation & Colour Balance - The reason behind my colours: to show the idea of unrealism & enhance my word "Fake". The blue was also further showing it's relation between same colour as the top of the Red Bull cans which I used as my 'thread'.

My Word - I wanted a word that would strike the viewer while complimenting the picture as a whole.

[P3] *CHANGE IN BRAND*

My initial brand was Converse and my idea was that all through their years they have stayed true to their identity regardless of change in environment/atmosphere/fashion/era.

I was not satisfied with how I was going to convey my idea.

My new brand that I will base my project on is Red Bull. My stance on Red Bull is that they cover up their identity and mislead the public through advertising &the substances they use to form their product.

(My new idea is essentially the opposite of my old one)

Just thought I'd post my research on Converse again so that it is in the more recent posts:

Since I changed my brand I was not sure if I needed to submit another reasearch page but I have uploaded one for Red Bull just incase...
